i was informed that my agent and i are required to go to the sales office if we want to buy a newly built home. My question is, does the home builder’s sales representative have the right to refuse to write an offer that we think is fair? or does he/she have the right to say no.. that offer is too low to even write the offer to present to decision makers in corporate office?
Yes, if the sales representative has an existing contract with the developer or owner which states such. Most developers set their expectations and let their sales reps know that the price listed is the only price they will take and to not accept or send them anything less.
